This event will take place at Hill of Tarvit Mansion by Cupar on Wednesday 11 October at 2 p.m.

We have all seen with interest and anticipation the new V&A Museum of Design Dundee taking shape on
the north bank of the Tay, and so we are delighted that Mr Philip Long, its Director, has agreed to talk to us about Scotland’s first design museum.

Trained as an artist and designer, Mr Long’s professional career has been in museums and galleries including latterly the National Galleries of Scotland where as Senior Curator he specialised in historical and contemporary art and design. Passionate about the impact creativity can have on people’s lives, he is proud to be responsible for the development of the first museum dedicated to
design in Scotland.
